Selling as spares or repairs however, someone with a knowledge of these cars should be able to fix easily. Reason for sale, I've got a new car and just need to move this on, if it weren't for the new car arriving I would not be selling, I would get it sorted out at my local garage.
I've know this car from new, it was my sisters and I brought it from her 3 years ago, it has dealer service stamps up to around 45,000 miles. It's the Exclusive model with the panoramic sunroof, air con, electric front and rear windows, it's the top spec for this model. Oh and it has a towbar fitted.
It's done 78k miles most of which has been local run around, my sister had it when her two children were young and just ran around town and I've just used it to run to the office 7 miles away or to the station, about 10 miles, it has had the occasional long runs. It has 2/3 of a tank of fuel and I'm leaving a very nice Sony faceoff Bluetooth, mps / cd / USB stereo in the car hence the starting price of £100 - there £100 in the fuel and stereo!! The car has been SORN as of the 20th November. It's MOT'd until 19th Feb 2017.
The bad stuff - the drivers window motor cable has come away and the mechanism needs replacing, the motor is fine it's the cable, the window is taped up.
The engine cuts out under load, it happened about two weeks ago, the car stopped 3 times on the way into work, you have to turn the ignition off, wait about 20 seconds and it fires up again. If you are gentle and ease up through the gears it can be driven around but not on the motorway! I've looked up this problem and have tried blocking off the EGR value, I've replaced the air filter and removed and cleaned the pressure regulator on the top of the pump. It feels like it's something like a fuel regulator, possibly a blockage in the fuel line - the fact that it starts back up again with no problem suggest it's something electrical / related to the fuel / fuel pressure. I have put a code reader on it and it showing a P0230 error "Fuel Pump Primary (Control) Circuit Malfunction" No other fault showing.
Local buyers can probably drive this away - any distance I have to be honest it'll need to be a trailer.
For someone that can spend the time to look into this a little more and / or knows these cars there's a bargain to be had here, when fixed this is a great car, that just needs some TLC and with this mileage it will be good for a few more years to come.
Starting at £100, it needs to go as the new car is coming - good luck and ask before you bid please and no time wasters. Winner to pay a non refundable £100 before collection via Paypal - Sorry I've been dicked around too many times.
